Tim Phillips, Design Leader and Owner at TILT Industrial Design will speak to the assembly on September 5th on the emerging trends for facade design solutions that address the areas of versatile spaces, operable architecture and environmental control: ‘I believe developers need to look outside of the traditional construction industry for design advantages to improve design outcomes and increase returns. They need to encourage architects to be more creative, to embrace emerging technologies and to collaborate with a broader range of project consultant’.
Sam Bevis, CEO of Architectural Metalworks Australia, will also speak on Leveraging Technology in Design Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement on September 5th. ‘The tools we use to concept and design has rapidly changed as technology has evolved. However, the way we collaborate, communicate and present our designs for feedback hasn’t experienced the same growth or innovation. It’s time to explore new ways of reviewing designs and understanding the benefits of implementing and leveraging technology for worldwide communication tools that breaks down the barriers between stakeholders in the supply chain, to ensure designs are being maximised for manufacture efficiency, installation ergonomics, and aesthetic appeal’.
